'Night Hunter' Trailer: Henry Cavill, Alexandra Daddario & Ben Kingsley Do Their Best 'Silence Of The Lambs' In New Thriller

Thanks to classics like “The Silence of the Lambs” and “Seven,” film fans have developed a fascination with serial killer investigations in cinema. And it looks like the upcoming “Night Hunter” takes the best of both films in crafting its own crime thriller.

As seen in the trailer for “Night Hunter,” which used to be titled “Nomis,” the film follows a police officer played by Henry Cavill that is on the hunt for a man that abducts women. However, once he captures the man, he must rely on a psychologist and a former judge to help find out why the man did the crimes, as well as help them solve the mystery as to why bad things are still happening.

Ben Kingsley plays the former judge that quit his job after his family was murdered. Now, he assists the investigation and helps Cavill get into the mind of the killer. He’s basically this film’s version of Hannibal Lecter.

Joining Cavill and Kingsley in the film are Alexandra Daddario, Brendan Fletcher, Stanley Tucci, Nathan Fillion, and Minka Kelly. “Night Hunter” is the directorial debut of writer-director David Raymond.

The film formerly known as “Nomis,” now titled “Night Hunter,” will arrive on DirecTV on August 8, with a release in theaters and On Demand on September 6.
