Got a Tip?

‘No Time To Die’ Music Video: Billie Eilish’s Video Showcases Footage From The Upcoming Bond Film

Though there are still some that question whether or not “No Time to Die” will actually arrive in cinemas this November, all signs are pointing to the fact that the distributor is, in fact, plowing ahead with a theatrical release of Daniel Craig’s final James Bond appearance. And to make it even more official, we have the music video for Billie Eilish’s “No Time to Die” theme song. If that isn’t a sign of an impending James Bond feature, I don’t know what is.

Now, we’ve already heard Eilish’s theme song for months now, as it was released around the time “No Time to Die” was originally scheduled to hit theaters back in the spring. However, once that date shifted, all marketing ceased and we’ve had to wait until now to see the official music video. As we’ve said before, the theme song itself isn’t bad at all and is a much more subdued version of what Eilish’s normal music sounds like. It’s definitely a case of the artist changing for the theme song instead of the theme song changing for the artist.

The video itself is pretty typical movie tie-in fare, with the singer in black and white performing with just a microphone while images from the film are shown out of context. However, it does appear that the song, as well as the film, might very well focus on the relationship between Craig’s superspy and Lea Seydoux’s psychiatrist characters.

As mentioned, “No Time to Die” appears to be sticking to its November 20 release date, which makes it one of the first major studio releases to arrive in cinemas since “Tenet” debuted in early September. Will the film succeed in a bigger way than Nolan’s spy film? Or is it going to be another attempt by a studio to launch a tentpole when the industry just can’t support it? We’ll just have to wait and see.
