If you’re a person of a certain age, aka anyone that isn’t a Millennial or younger, you may not be super familiar with the work of pop star Billie Eilish. The young singer is one of the biggest names in music and has a devoted fan base that loves everything she does. Apple is hoping those fans are willing to subscribe to a new streaming service as part of their devotion.

As seen in a new teaser, Apple TV+ has announced that Billie Eilish is going to be the subject of an upcoming documentary, titled “Billie Eilish: The World’s A Little Blurry.” The teaser doesn’t give us much of a hint as to what the film will look like, but there is no doubt that her musical career will be the focus, and judging by the clip of her as a young child, the film will go into her younger years. But considering she’s only 18 years old, there isn’t much of a history to cover.
That said, Eilish has accomplished quite a bit over her relatively short career. Thanks to her collaborations with her brother (who writes a lot of her music), the singer has amassed five Grammys and sold close to 40 million singles. To say that she’s anything short of a phenomenon is an understatement. There’s definitely a reason why Apple is already pushing this new documentary, as the streaming platform is really looking for some sort of content to break out and drive serious numbers of subscriptions to its fledgling TV+ service.

Even if you’re not a fan of Eilish’s music, you may be interested in the documentary just due to the fact that filmmaker R.J. Cutler is attached as director. His previous works include “Belushi,” “The September Issue,” and “The World According to Dick Cheney.” He also won a Primetime Emmy for his work on the docuseries, “American High.”
