As the title implies, “One Life” is the story of how one person can have an impact on so many people. And even though the story in the film feels too wild to be true, it absolutely is.

As seen in the trailer, “One Life” follows the incredible true story of Nicky Winton, a young London Broker who risks his own life to help save so many Jewish people trying to flee Czechoslovakia before the Nazi occupation before World War II. Following Nicky’s life during that time, as well as 50 years later when he is still thinking not only about the people he saved, but also the people he wasn’t able to help.
The film stars Anthony Hopkins, Johnny Flynn, Helena Bonham Carter, and Jonathan Pryce. “One Life” marks the feature film directorial debut for James Hawes. He is best known for his years of TV work, directing episodes of shows such as “Slow Horses,” “Raised By Wolves,” “Snowpiercer,” and “Black Mirror.”
