‘Pain Hustlers’: Chris Evans To Star Opposite Emily Blunt In David Yates’ New Film

Chris Evans’ new Netflix film, “The Gray Man,” hasn’t even been released yet, but it appears the actor has already lined up his next offering for the streaming service.

According to Deadline, Chris Evans is joining Emily Blunt in the upcoming thriller, “Pain Hustlers,” which is a project Netflix recently purchased during this year’s Cannes. The film follows the story of a mom (Blunt) who finds herself working for a pharmaceutical company in a strip mall. And over time, her drive and business acumen turn that small business into a powerhouse. “Pain Hustlers” is being described as tonally similar to films such as “American Hustle,” “The Big Short,” and “Wolf of Wall Street.”

“Pain Hustlers” is set to be written by Wells Tower and directed by David Yates. The filmmaker is probably best known for directing four “Harry Potter” films and three “Fantastic Beasts” features. When he’s not working in the Wizarding World, Yates also helmed the film “The Legend of Tarzan.”

As mentioned, Evans will next be seen in “The Gray Man.” He’s also recently wrapped filming on the upcoming Dexter Fletcher film, “Ghosted.” Just last month, you probably heard Evans as the voice of Buzz Lightyear in the Pixar film, “Lightyear.” Needless to say, the former MCU actor is in high demand ever since he hung up Captain America’s shield.

A release date for “Pain Hustlers” has yet to be announced, but the film is expected to begin production in August. If that’s true, then we should expect the new film to probably arrive sometime in the second half of 2023.
