FX’s ‘Pose’ Returns With Fiercer Looks & More Heartfelt Stories In Season 2 Trailer

With one of the fiercest casts on television, FX‘s series “Pose” will return to serve more looks and broadcast some of the untold stories of the LGBTQIA+ community in New York City. The series was met with wide acclaim upon its premiere and a fabulous, heartfelt first season cemented the series among some of the best TV dramas today. With an inclusive cast and looks that won’t quit, we get a glimpse of what’s in store for Season 2.

The series is co-created by “American Horror Story” and “American Crime Story” helmer Ryan MurphyBrad Falchuk and Steven Canals, who also serve as writers for the series. “Pose” stars Tony-winning actor Billy Porter, who could see his name among those nominated for Outstanding Actor in a Drama Series for his work on the show. What makes “Pose” such a landmark series for FX is the integration and diversity of its cast. “Pose” made television history by having the largest cast of transgender actors in series regular roles, along with actors identifying in the LGBTQIA+ community in recurring roles. In its authentic storytelling and mission, “Pose” highlights the stories that have yet to be told during a raucous period of New York City’s history. Moments of crises and celebration are each given their due in this Peabody Award Nominated series. There truly isn’t quite a show like “Pose,” and the series uses this to its advantage with a stunning look and meaningful stories about building one’s chosen family and finding your community.

Set in the 1980s, this FX series is a dance musical that explores the juxtaposition of several segments of life and society in New York: the ball culture world, the rise of the luxury Trump-era universe and the downtown social and literary scene.
