Report: David Carradine Found Dead In Thailand

Update: 5:44 pm EST: Reuters’ report says he was “found naked and hanging dead from a rope,” so that at least suggests an apparent suicide.

In an interview with the AP, actor Michael Madsen, who worked with him on “Kill Bill 2” said, “It is shocking to me that he is no longer with us. I have so many great memories of David that I wouldn’t even know where to begin. He has a very special place in my heart.”

Update 2:43 pm EST: his manager told the London Times it was an “accidental death,” does that sounds like what we think it sounds like? The Times says police found a rope around his neck and “other parts of his body.”

Earlier: Sad news. David Carradine has been found dead in a Bangkok hotel room at the age of 73, the BBC reports.

While details surrounding the actor’s death are sketchy at the moment, Carradine was currently in the Thai capital shooting his new film, “Stretch.” Thai News website, The Nation, are reporting via Thai police that the “Kung Fu” actor was found hanging in his closet from a suspected suicide, but note the BBC has no mention of that so far. Damn, the BBC has updated their report already and suggest the same. He was apparently, “found by a hotel maid sitting in a wardrobe with a rope around his neck and body on Thursday morning.”

Carradine’s manager Chuck Binder described the news as “shocking” and added that the actor “was full of life, always wanting to work [and] a great person.”

The actor was last seen in Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor’s “Crank 2: High Voltage.”
