Robert Downey Jr. loves to talk about how “Iron Man” made him a bonafide star again (after a couple of years lost in the wilderness), so the star is putting his money where his mouth is and staying with the Marvel family for the foreseeable future.
Already signed on to “Iron Man 2,” RDJ just officially signed up for “Iron Man 3” and an appearance in “The Avengers” supergroup film according to Variety.
Additionally, Jon Favreau, who is already directing the second “Iron Man” flick, will also executive produce “The Avengers,” which is scheduled for a July 15, 2011 release. Don Cheadle, who replaced Terrence Howard in the franchise, will also evidently appear in “The Avengers” and the “Iron Man” sequels.
