Got a Tip?

Robert Pattinson Joins Cast Of Christopher Nolan’s Movie With Tom Holland, Matt Damon & More

Filmmaker Christopher Nolan is always known for his outstanding casts—just look at the stacked-to-the-gills “Oppenheimer” which featured just a huge array of names, many of them willing to take the smallest of speaking parts just to appear in a Christopher Nolan film.  And well, he’s seemingly building up quite an impressive troupe for his latest untitled film with the addition of Robert Pattinson.

Of course, Pattinson was the co-star of Nolan’s temporal sci-fi thriller “Tenet” with John David WashingtonNolan admitted he did seek him for a role in “Oppenheimer,” but scheduling had become an issue.

Regardless, he’s back in the fold of a Nolan movie that already features Tom Holland, Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway, Zendaya, Lupita Nyong’o, and now Pattinson. One can imagine this movie could keep expanding with an incredible company joining the fold, but we also don’t really know if it’ll be as huge as an ensemble as “Oppenheimer” was.

That’s because, of course, because this is a Christopher Nolan film, we know next to nothing about it other than that it is due to arrive in the summer of 2026.

There have been all kinds of rumors about Nolan’s movie has been about, but most sources tell the trades that none of them are correct, so it’s not even worth mentioning what they are.

Universal is again releasing the film as they did with “Oppenheimer,” which is said to go into production in early 2025.

To that end, one somewhat credible rumor is that Zendaya may have a minor part in it due to her other obligations, which could be possible. She is shooting an entire new season of “Euphoria” next year, then “Spider-Man 4” (which also could be a smaller part), and then “Dune: Part II,” so her dance card feels pretty maxed out for next year and it would not surprise if she didn’t take on any more major work. And to boot, she is currently shooting “Dream Scenario” filmmaker Kristoffer Borgli’s next film, “The Drama,” which she will star in alongside no one other than her soon-to-be Nolan co-star Robert Pattinson.

Nolan’s untitled film will have an IMAX release on July 17, 2026. That’s about one week away from the Tom Holland-starring “Spider-Man 4” for Sony and Marvel, which could be seen as forcing audiences to compete for the same star. But if Nolan’s movie is a huge ensemble, perhaps that really won’t matter. Time will tell.
