Are the Los Angeles Waves ready for a new president? “Running Point” follows Isla Gordon as she takes on a male dominated world as well as her family’s legacy. The Netflix comedy series features two executive producers all too familiar with the subject — Jeanie Buss and Linda Rambis. Buss is president and co-owner of the Los Angeles Lakers, while Rambis serves as the team’s manager of special projects. “Running Point” hails from writers Mindy Kaling, David Stassen, and Ike Barinholtz. Stassen is also the showrunner of the project.

Kate Hudson stars as the beleaguered Gordon. She previously starred in 2022’s Glass Onion, a sequel that proved to be a hit for Netflix. Brenda Song, Drew Tarver, Scott MacArthur, Fabrizio Guido, Toby Sandeman, Chet Hanks, Jay Ellis, Max Greenfield, Justin Theroux, Keyla Monterroso Mejia, Roberto Sanchez, Uche Agada, and Dane DiLiegro round out the cast.
