Most folks were expecting “Deadpool & Wolverine” to be a big hit. However, no one was expecting just how massive it would become, earning more than $1.3 billion worldwide. And apparently, Ryan Reynolds is ready to get the band back together for a new film.
In a new interview with Variety, Ryan Reynolds talked about a new mystery project that he’s going to spend a year working on that would reunite him with his “Deadpool & Wolverine” cohorts, Hugh Jackman and director Shawn Levy. But don’t expect it to be a new ‘Deadpool’ film.
“I’m spending the year writing,” Reynolds said. “I’m writing a movie for myself, Hugh [Jackman] and Shawn [Levy] to do that is not Marvel.”

It’s clear that Reynolds and Levy are a good combo. Prior to their work on ‘Deadpool 3,’ the duo worked on films such as “The Adam Project” and “Free Guy.” The latter of which was a pretty big box office success when it was released. Levy also previously worked with Jackman on “Real Steel” years ago.
It’ll be a while until we learn more about what Reynolds is cooking up with his mystery film. Regardless, if it does end up coming together and look to reunite the “Deadpool & Wolverine” trio, then it wouldn’t take long for a studio to snatch it up.
In the meantime, you can watch “Deadpool & Wolverine” on Disney+ next week.
