Don’t worry, Sean Baker‘s acclaimed indie isn’t getting a Hollywood makeover. Instead, Scarlett Johansson is adding another project to her increasingly busy schedule, one that has George Clooney among the producers, and is based on a hot literary property.

Deadline reports that the actress will star in “Tangerine,” the adaptation of the novel by Christine Mangan. Set in exotic 1950s Morroco, the mystery/thriller will follow the strange connection between two women, Alice and Lucy, with the worst luck ever. They first time they cross paths is in college as roommates, with Alice leaving her life behind after her husband to be suddenly dies. Years later, she meets Lucy, and this time, her current husband disappears. Perhaps there’s something wrong or even dangerous about Lucy…
So, another project, that along with the Zelda Fitzgerald flick “The Beautiful And The Damned,” will keep Johansson busy as she continues to bounce between the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and the potential franchise waiting in “Ghost In The Shell.”
