'Secret Life Of Pets 2' Chloe Trailer: The Latest Look At The Animated Proves Why Cats Are The Worst

You’re either a cat person or not. And in the new trailer for the upcoming “The Secret Life of Pets 2,” the animated film gives viewers a chance to see exactly why cats are so divisive.

Let’s be real, cats can be annoying. Chloe, from ‘Secret Life 2,’ is a prime example of this. In the new trailer, focused entirely on the plump feline, we see just what so many cat people go through on a daily basis. Who needs an alarm clock when you have a kitty to stand on your chest, meow in your face, and then, well…go to other lengths to get you out of bed?

The trailer also gives a little hint at what we can expect from the rotund animal, with a funny take on the classic “lampshade on the head” joke from party films. This time, replacing the people with cats, and the alcohol with catnip, the mysterious substance that makes furry friends go absolutely crazy.

Chloe is voiced in the film by the amazing Lake Bell. Joining Bell in the upcoming highly-anticipated kids film are Patton Oswalt (taking over for Louis C.K.), Eric Stonestreet, Kevin Hart, Ellie Kemper, Jenny Slate, Dana Carvey, Hannibal Burress, Tiffany Haddish, and many, many more A-list comedy mainstays.

We’re still months away from the film, which isn’t scheduled to hit theaters until June 7, 2019. It appears we have a few more of these “character trailers” ahead of us yet.

Here’s the synopsis:

The Secret Life of Pets 2 will follow summer 2016’s blockbuster about the lives our pets lead after we leave for work or school each day. Illumination founder and CEO Chris Meledandri and his longtime collaborator Janet Healy will produce the sequel to the comedy that had the best opening ever for an original film, animated or otherwise. The Secret Life of Pets 2 will see the return of writer Brian Lynch (Minions) and once again be directed by Chris Renaud (Despicable Me series, Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax).
