Marvel Debuts Yet Another ‘Shang-Chi’ Trailer Plus A New Clip Showcasing The Epic Action Of The New MCU Film

While it’s not a scientific fact, if you’re a fan of box office statistics, you can often see a direct correlation between a studio’s confidence in a film’s financial future and the number of trailers that are released to promote it. If a studio thinks it has a homerun on its hands, maybe you don’t need to release a ton of trailers and clips. But if there’s any doubt about financial success, you need to get as much marketing materials out there as possible to build buzz. And with that in mind, let’s talk about the fact that Marvel Studios has released yet another trailer for “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings,” along with a new clip that showcases one of the best action scenes in the entire film.

The clip from ‘Shang-Chi’ that Marvel Studios recently released shows the bus scene that has been all over the marketing materials for the film. In the scene, we see Shang-Chi fight a bunch of goons on a speeding bus through the streets of San Francisco. It’s a really well-executed action scene that shows just how capable star Simu Liu is at selling the kung-fu aspect of the feature.

The same idea of trying to sell the action, plus the epic scale, seems to be the thrust behind Marvel Studios’ latest trailer for ‘Shang-Chi.’ Since the marketing for the film began, we’ve seen quite a few trailers for the film, showing different scenes and settings for the new adventure. But fair warning, the new trailer might show a lot more than you’re hoping, as it really highlights the power of the main character (yet again, comparing him to MCU legends), and thus, showing parts of the film you might want to experience in a cinema.

And it’s that last bit that is important to remember. “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings” is a huge gamble for Marvel Studios and Disney, when it comes to box office. It’s debuting exclusively in theaters which could be really good or bad for the financial future of the film. With COVID rates rising and vaccine/mask mandates becoming more and more common, it’ll be interesting to see how many people venture out to the theater to see the new Marvel film. This uncertainty definitely explains why Marvel Studios and Disney are releasing so many clips and trailers for the film, especially when Marvel is typically pretty good about not “spoiling” moments in its superhero films.

Either way, if you need more convincing to see ‘Shang-Chi’ in theaters, you can watch the clip, trailer, and a featurette for good measure, below:
