Unless you’ve been living in a cave, you’re already aware that the vampire craze is at its height, though studios are already looking for the next big thing (angels! werewolves! historical figures turned action heroes!).
Despite jumping on the bandwagon ridiculously late, Amy Heckerling could use a hit and will take it wherever she can find it, thus Sigourney Weaver is set to join Alicia Silverstone and Krysten Ritter in Heckerling’s upcoming horror/comedy “Vamps.” The film “focuses on beautiful young vampires who are living the good nightlife in New York until love enters the picture and each has to make a choice that will jeopardize their immortality.” Weaver will play Ciccerus, the vampire who turns the girls into bloodsuckers.
The project will go in front of cameras at the end of April. No distributor is yet on board.
