'Sneaky Pete' Season 3 Trailer: Amazon's Underrated Con Man Series Returns In May

Many of the headlines revolving around streaming services nowadays talk about the latest major A-lister to land a series or film, or how the company is going to spend millions upon millions of dollars creating their next franchise. But for those that are more interested in the quality of a project, and less about what IP it’s based on or how much hype it has, there are quite a few gems waiting for you in the realm of streaming. One of those gems is Amazon’s original series “Sneaky Pete,” which is on the cusp of premiering its third season.

For those that haven’t caught episodes of “Sneaky Pete,” the series stars Giovanni Ribisi as the titular character, who isn’t all he says he is. Actually, he’s not even Pete. In fact, he’s a con man that assumed the identity of Pete to help escape a rather grim fate that awaits him once he’s released from prison. From there, he meets the supporting cast of characters that make up the dysfunctional family and thrills, laughs, and drama ensues.

“Sneaky Pete” has slowly gained a bit of a cult following as one of Amazon’s early successes in the original TV game. Sure, it has a cast that is full of incredible actors, but there’s no Sandra Bullock or Reese Witherspoon to steal all the spotlight. Basically, as we’ve said, it’s a series that deserves more attention and is sadly overshadowed by those flashy projects that get all the headlines.

But hey, if you’re in the mood for good TV, then “Sneaky Pete” Season 3 arrives on Amazon Prime Video on May 10.

Here’s the Season 3 synopsis:

Who is Marius Josipovic? Marius himself would like to know. He’s feeling a pull toward the Bernhardt family. But he’s not part of the family. He’s a con-man. The chance to become more like a normal human being is enticing. It also scares him to death. This season all the members of the sneaky pete family explore their identity. It’s a dangerous journey. They could lose themselves or their lives.
