Bridget Everett is a stand-up comedian who really broke out and proved her acting chops in the 2017 indie hit, “Patti Cake$.” Since then, she’s had a steady stream of roles in features and TV series, including the HBO comedy series, “Camping.” Now, she returns to HBO in the upcoming series, “Somebody Somewhere.”

Like any good teaser, the new clip from “Somebody Somewhere” is less of a trailer for the series and more of a real tease as to what you can expect from the offbeat comedy series. The clip shows Everett along with her co-star Jeff Hiller, in a car making an improvised song about drinking pee during heavy traffic. If that’s something that makes you giggle, you’re going to enjoy what “Somebody Somewhere” has to offer with its story of a woman struggling to fit into her small-town way of life.
The series stars Bridget Everett, Jeff Hiller, Mary Catherine Garrison, Danny McCarthy, and Mike Hagerty. “Somebody Somewhere” is co-created and produced by Hannah Bos & Paul Thureen, along with the Duplass Brothers and Everett among others. The series is directed by Jay Duplass and Robert Cohen.

From Mighty Mint, Duplass Brothers Productions, and creators & executive producers Hannah Bos and Paul Thureen (writers on HBO’s “High Maintenance”), the series follows Sam (played by Everett), a true Kansan on the surface, but, beneath it all, struggling to fit the hometown mold. Grappling with loss and acceptance, singing is Sam’s saving grace and leads her on a journey to discover herself and a community of outsiders who don’t fit in but don’t give up, showing that finding your people, and finding your voice, is possible.
