Got a Tip?

‘Spider-Man 4’: ‘Stranger Things’ Star Sadie Sink Joins Cast Of Marvel’s Next Spidey Adventure

Spider-Man 4” casting is finally in full swing! The next installment of the Spidey franchise will see both Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios reunite on the co-production as they’ve just added “Stranger Things” actress Sadie Sink in an undisclosed role alongside Tom Holland.

Deadline reports that director Destin Daniel Cretton (“Shang-Chi & The Legend of The Ten Rings”) is expected to shoot the pic later this year in the United Kingdom, luckily, the same location where The Russo Brothers are anticipated to film “Avengers: Doomsday.”

Who is Sink playing in the next “Spider-Man” movie?

That’s the current mystery as she could be playing anyone from the MCU version of Felicia Hardy (who ends up romantically linked to Peter Parker via her thief persona Black Cat and nearly got her own movie with “Silver & Black”), Gwen Stacey (given quite the character exploration in the “Spider-Verse” films), Firestar from the animated series “Spider-Man & His Amazing Friends,” or any other Marvel characters that could be pulled out from the comics.

While there is an expectation we could end up seeing Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, and Jon Favreau in the sequel reprising their respective roles, it’s not automatic they’ll have huge parts to play in this new story, given that “Spider-Man: No Way Home” ended with Peter Parker being forgotten by friends and family thanks to Doctor Strange. We could end up seeing a string of new characters joining the MCU as Parker has plenty of pals during his college years, which this next installment should be covering.

Holland was recently spotted on the set of Christopher Nolan’sThe Odyssey,” where he is expected to play the son of Matt Damon’s Odysseus which could mean that the “Spider-Man 4” shoot over the summer/fall is getting closer.

“Spider-Man 4” recently switched its release date to July 31, 2026, and stay tuned for more casting announcements as they roll in.
