Universal is making some changes to its summer 2026 schedule. Academy Award-winning directors The Daniels, who cleaned up in 2023 for their fantasia wuxia film, “Everything Everywhere All at Once,” did have an untitled event film set for Jun 12, 2026, but apparently, the film is not ready yet and needs more time to cook on the script stage according to Deadline. That means Steven Spielberg’s untitled UFO film, sometimes referred to as “Disclosure” is moving off its May 15, 2026, release date and taking over that Friday, June 12, 2026 slot.

No details are known about Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinerts’ “Everything Everywhere All at Once” follow-up, but evidently, a new date will be announced at some point, and we’re guessing probably some kind of 2027 frame.
“Everything Everywhere All at Once,” was a huge multi-Academy Award winner for A24 and helped theaters in the pandemic of 2022, grossing over $143 million worldwide.
Penned by “Jurassic Park” screenwriter David Koepp, Spielberg’s film stars Emmy and Golden Globe winner Josh O’Connor (“Challengers,” “The Crown”), SAG winner and Oscar nominee Emily Blunt (“Oppenheimer,” “A Quiet Place”), two-time Oscar nominee Colman Domingo (“Sing Sing,” “Rustin”), Oscar winner Colin Firth (“The King’s Speech,” the ‘Kingsman’ franchise) and Eve Hewson (“Bad Sisters,” “The Knick”).
Will Universal slot in something major on that now vacant May 15, 2026 release date? It’s debatable. One week before it is “Avengers: Doomsday,” and one week after is “The Mandalorian & Grogu,” and then an untitled DC Studios movie after that. So maybe it’s just best to stay out of that pile-up of a month.
