Sophie Turner and Kit Harington found breakout success as siblings on HBO‘s “Game Of Thrones.” Now, fans of that series will have to quell their awkwardness for “The Dreadful,” a gothic horror that stars the pair as lovers.

Based on the classic 1964 Japanese horror film “Onibaba,” the upcoming picture updates the tale to medieval England, where the arrival of a mysterious knight unleashes a curse on two women living on the outskirts of society.

Experience an unnerving Gothic tale of horror reuniting Game of Thrones stars Sophie Turner and Kit Harington and featuring the Academy Award®-winning actress Marcia Gay Harden. Set in medieval England, Anne and her domineering mother-in-law, Morwen, struggle to survive on the outskirts of society. But when a man from Anne’s past returns from war, a curse begins to take shape through a mysterious knight and threatens to destroy them all.
Along with Turner and Harington, “The Dreadful” also stars Marcia Gay Harden, Laurence O’Fuarain, and Jonathan Howard.
Natasha Kermani writes and directs “The Dreadful,” her follow-up to last year’s “Abraham’s Boys.” Producers on the film include Turner, Luke Daniels, Patrick Muldoon, Patrick Hibler, and Greg Lauritano.
