Thurman stars in “The Kill Room” as Patrice, a NYC art gallery owner who hatches a scheme to launder money with mobsters Gordon (Samuel L. Jackson) and Reggie (Joe Manganiello). Their idea? Use the art world’s already dubious deals for personal gain and make their dirty cash clean. The only catch is that Reggie must create artwork to make the deals appear legitimate.
But when Reggie’s art becomes the talk of the art world, galleries everywhere clamor for more pieces by “The Bagman.” Amid all the press and attention, Patrice realizes she’s laundering money from murder instead of drugs and wants out of the deal. Her ticket to freedom? The assassination of a Russian oligarch during Miami’s biggest art fair.
“The Kill Room” also stars Debi Mazar, Larry Pine, Dree Hemingway, Liv Morgan, Mike Doyle, and Marianne Rendón. Nicol Paone directs the film from a script by Jonathan Jacobson.
Will the art world prove sticker than a life of crime in “The Kill Room”? Find out when the film hits theaters everywhere on September 29. Watch a trailer for “The Kill Room” below.
