'The Mandalorian' Season 3 Teaser Trailer: The Next Adventure For Din Djarin Begins In 2023 [D23 Expo]

What Disney+ show has been more celebrated than “The Mandalorian?” Since the first season premiered in November 2019, the show has acquired a beloved following and near-universal critical acclaim. However, after the end of last season, it looks as if Din Djarin’s time with Grogu may be definitively over. Of course, that was all resolved in “The Book Of Boba Fett,” which featured the reunion of the two beloved characters, and the story resumes in “The Mandalorian” season three due in early 2023.

Today, at D23 Expo, Lucasfilm released the first teaser trailer for the series, and it’s quite the tease showing off much of the action taking place on Mando’s homeworld of Mandalore and, seemingly, the war for control of that planet.

In terms of everything else, though, the keyword for season three of “The Mandalorian” is expansion. The series already started including characters from “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” in season two, and more was teased in “The Book Of Boba Fett,” including a crossover between Din Djarin and Ahsoka Tano, and the world of this series keeps evolving.

As for who returns this season? Pedro Pascal as Djarin, Carl Weathers as Greef Karga, Katee Sackhoff as Bo-Katan Kryze, Giancarlo Esposito as Moff Gideon, Emily Swallow as The Armorer, Omid Abtahi as Dr. Pershing and Paul Sun-Hyung Lee as Carson Teva, are all returning to reprise their roles. Gina Carano is definitely not returning after her social media controversies which saw her ousted from the series.

Production for the new season seemingly finished this summer so it makes sense that fans would get a sneak peek at D23. The teaser trailer doesn’t reveal a date beyond 2023, but Lucasfilm previously revealed the series was scheduled to return in February of the new year. Check out the trailer below.
