The Revolution Is Coming In First Clip & New Images From 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay — Part 2' And More

“If Donald Trump becomes president, that will be the end of the world,” Jennifer Lawrence told EW this week, and she would know from evil, tyrannical presidents, AMIRITE?! “I genuinely believe that reality television has reached the ultimate place where now even things like this might just be for entertainment,” she added. “It’s either that or it’s Hillary’s brilliant idea.”

The Hunger Games” franchise has already generated over $2.3 billion worldwide, and there’s one more film that should help break the bank too. So, will there be more films in the series despite the fact there are only three books that they already stretched into four films? Well, there were some talking-out-of-turn whispers from the cast around Comic-Con — clearly the idea has been discussed (and this has been in the ether since February), but it’s also apparent that the nut hasn’t been cracked to go forward yet. Meanwhile, as “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2” comes closer to release, Lionsgate is starting to amp up the promotion. This means the main ‘Hunger Games’ power trio of Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, and Liam Hemsworth are on the cover of Entertainment Weekly, a final new poster has been revealed, and new photos of a final confrontation between Katniss (Lawrence) and the evil President Snow (Donald Sutherland) have been unveiled. And lastly, there’s also a new clip.

The series has done well by its cast. Lawrence is a huge star and the highest paid female actress on the planet right now, and she also has one foot into the world of prestige dramas, but it’ll be interesting to see where Hemsworth and Hutchinson’s careers go after this.

As for the final chapter, what happens in ‘Mockingjay’ part deux? Well, full-blown revolution turns into war and then a big face-off with President Snow. “When you get to the end, you just feel the entire history of what these characters have been through,” director Francis Lawrence told EW. “It’s part of what makes this movie all the more satisfying.” I wouldn’t quite count out further future sequels at some point, but it’s clear those need to be thought through before Lionsgate can count more cash.

The fourth and final installment, “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2,” opens November 20. Check out the new cover, photos, and poster below.
