Speaking in 2016 while promoting “The Magnificent Seven,” Fuqua made his admiration for Pratt’s talent and professionalism clear, branding him “the nicest guy in the world,” explaining, “He’s fun, he’s funny, he’s always positive and humble.” Amazon will be hoping that Fuqua’s penchant for high octane action can combine with Pratt’s box-office appeal in a winning formula for the streaming service already anticipating the release of season 3 of “The Boys,” and the premiere of “Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” later this year.
Pratt will also be occupying the silver screen this year, as “Jurassic World Dominion,” the third installment of the “Jurassic World” franchise, arrives in theaters in June. “Emancipation,” helmed by Fuqua and starring Will Smith, is also scheduled for release later in 2022. Here is the official synopsis for “The Terminal List”:
The series follows James Reece (Chris Pratt) after his entire platoon of Navy SEALs is ambushed while on a covert mission. Reece returns home to his family with conflicting memories of the event and questions about his culpability. As new evidence comes to light, Reece discovers dark forces working against him, endangering not only his life but the lives of those he loves.
In addition to Pratt, the series will also star Taylor Kitsch, Constance Wu, Jeanne Tripplehorn, Riley Keough, Patrick Schwarzenegger, and Arlo Mertz.
“The Terminal List” will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on July 1, 2022.
