'The Walking Dead' Star Jon Bernthal Joins Martin Scorsese's 'Wolf Of Wall Street'

nullIt appears getting killed off on a hit cable show isn't necessarily a bad thing. At least not if you're Jon Bernthal. The actor who had his character axed at the end of the second season of "The Walking Dead," didn't take long to find a new gig, landing a lead role in Frank Darabont's new TNT show "L.A. Noir." And now he's going to spend this summer hanging with Martin Scorsese. Not bad.

Deadline reports that "The Wolf Of Wall Street" continues casting hard, with Bernthal joining the flick alongside Leonardo DiCaprio, Jonah Hill, Jean Dujardin, Cristin Milioti and Margot Robbie. Penned by Terence Winter, the film tells the true story of Jordan Belfort, a wheeling and dealing New York stockbroker who sees his career and personal life fall into shambles thanks to sex, drugs and alcohol. Bernthal will play a rather enterprising man who both deals drugs and launders money. It always pays to diversify your skill set folks.

Production gets under way towards the end of summer, and we guess there are still more names to come as this thing gets pulled together.
