Tom Hardy Once Again Produces Instagram Gold With First Look At Al Capone Film 'Fonzo'

If you’re not following Tom Hardy on Instagram, then what are you doing with your life?

The actor has been blowing up his social media game lately with his recent, slightly incoherent, rant about “Venom” critics and now debuting the first look at his upcoming Al Capone film, “Fonzo.” But the real selling point isn’t the pictures, it’s Hardy’s captions. Let’s just say, the man is quickly becoming the King of Emojis.

“Chasing Fonzo…?????????????,” says the actor, accompanying a picture of him dressed as a middle-aged Al Capone.

So, is there a social media genius around who can decipher this for us? We got the Fonzo part, that much is easy. But the stream of emojis? Mind-boggling, but somehow captivating at the same time.

Regardless of his next-level emoji-ing, Hardy has finally given fans a chance to see exactly what he is going to look like in his upcoming film, which was announced with a pretty great cast. Even though Hardy is an actor to always keep track of, routinely blowing people away in his projects, the other interesting bit about “Fonzo” is that it’s being helmed by Josh Trank, who was unceremoniously thrown out in the Lucasfilm trash a couple years ago. Along with directing the film, Trank is also on board as a writer of the project.

No matter what Lucasfilm (or Fox, for that matter, who basically fired him from the abysmal “Fantastic Four” reboot in 2015) thinks of Trank, the director looks to be onto something with Hardy as Capone. In “Fonzo,” Hardy is portraying a version of Capone that is towards the end of his life, dealing with dementia.

“Fonzo” also stars Linda Cardellini, Matt Dillon, Kyle MacLachlan, Katherine Narducci, and Jack Lowden, and as seen in Hardy’s picture below, has just recently started production.
