TV News: Amy Ryan Joins 'In Treatment' & Sanaa Lathan Meets 'Tilda'

Yes, this is TV news but its a ridiculously slow news week. It’s like everyone in the industry extended their Memorial Day weekend. Anyway.

Amy Ryan returns to HBO, joining the hit drama “In Treatment.” The show “centers on Dr. Paul Weston (Gabriel Byrne), a psychotherapist, and his weekly sessions with patients.” Ryan will be replace Dianne Wiest as the therapist Byrne sees. Ryan’s previous experience with HBO came in role of Beady on the critically acclaimed “The Wire,” and while “In Treatment” is great, we are secretly hoping Ryan returns as Holly on “The Office.”

With filming set to begin this month, the cast for “Tilda” keeps growing. Joining Diane Keaton, Ellen Page, Jason Patric, Wes Bentley, David Harbour and Leland Orser is Sanaa Lathan. She will play “a mysterious new head of operations that RMG head Andrew Brown (Jason Patric) brings in to work at the studio.” We’re kind of looking forward to this if only because it will give us a fresh movie-industry based show to watch especially since “Entourage” has really gone down the shitter.
