According to THR, Josh Brolin is the latest actor to join Rian Johnson’s mystery film, “Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery.” The actor joins the all-star cast that was previously announced, including Josh O’Connor, Cailee Spaeny, Andrew Scott, Kerry Washington, Glenn Close, Jeremy Renner, and Mila Kunis. Additionally, the film is obviously headlined by none other than Daniel Craig, reprising his role as Benoit Blanc.

Brolin is a veteran actor with dozens of credits under his belt. Recently, outside of the Marvel Studios work he did as Thanos, the actor has appeared in projects such as “Dune” (both ‘Part 1’ and ‘Part 2’) and the TV series, “The Outer Range.”

As mentioned, it’s unclear if any other big names will be announced or not. It’s difficult to say just how many A-listers Johnson wants to snag for this ‘Knives Out’ film. However, if it does stop at Brolin, he’s put together yet another massive all-star cast that could easily rival the first two films.

We don’t have a specific release date yet for “Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery.” Production is expected to begin this month in the U.K., which would lead us to believe a 2025 release is most likely.
