There’s still a month to go until "Carol" hits cinemas, but you can bet that once it does, the Voltron-like force of The Weinstein Company‘s awards season team will assemble, going full throttle towards the Oscars. Todd Haynes‘s drama starring Cate Blanchett and Rooney Mara is universally beloved, a frontrunner in a handful of categories, and has been a darling of the festival season since debuting at Cannes.

The picture, detailing the romance between a married woman and a department store clerk, more recently hit the BFI London Film Festival, where Haynes sat down for a lengthy, career-spanning 56-minute chat.
