A refresher, in the event if you need one: In the “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1," Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) is traumatized due to the capture of her old bud/sorta flame Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) after the last Quarter Quell games. Perhaps this doesn’t make much sense to non-fans, but in short: shit hit the fan in ‘Catching Fire.‘ Peeta was seized and Katniss was "kidnapped" only to discover that several of her friends and supposed enemies were colluding to build their own underground resistance against the government.
So in ‘Mockingjay – Part 1′, the distressed Katniss reluctantly becomes a symbol of Panem’s revolution against the tyrannical Capitol. It’s a burden she doesn’t want to bear, but one she’ll have to reconcile regardless.
This latest entry in the ‘Hunger Games’ franchise stars most of the same players including Liam Hemsworth, Donald Sutherland, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Stanley Tucci, Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks and Sam Claflin. New additions to the cast, mainly as members of the resistance, include Natalie Dormer, Stef Dawson, Annie Cresta and Julianne Moore as President Coin.
A new action-packed, 60 second trailer of the movie has arrived and shows off a lot of new footage, as ‘Mockingjay – Part 1’ is right around the corner, opening on November 20. New magazine covers, photos and a TV spot below too. Watch the teaser and let us know what you think.
