In 2009, Marcus Dunstan — the writer behind "Saw IV," "Saw V," "Saw VI," "Saw 3D," "Piranha 3DD" and more — put himself behind the camera and directed his debut feature, "The Collector." A nasty little piece of horror, it found the filmmaker establishing a voice of his own. Now he's back three years later with the sequel, "The Collection," and as it gets ready to hit theaters next week, we've got an exclusive featurette that takes you behind-the-scenes.
Premiering earlier this year at Austin's Fantastic Fast, cameras tracked Dunstan as he hit the screenings to introduce the film, and also explained the ties between "The Collector" and "The Collection," and his ambitions to subvert standard horror tropes and expectations. The picture finds Josh Stewart returning, surviving his encounter with The Collector from the previous film, but now back to square off against him again when he's blackmailed into rescuing a girl from his clutches.
LD Entertainment will release the film on Friday, November 30th in theaters for what they are calling The Real Black Friday. Watch the featurette below.
