Can lightning strike twice for Marvel on Netflix? That’s the question surrounding "Jessica Jones," which arrives in the wake of the very well-received "Daredevil," and found the comic studio going gritty and a bit more adult than they do for their big screen adaptations. And the same goes for their newest series, and a new trailer invites you in to discover the professional reputation of its lead character.
Krysten Ritter toplines the show as the titular former superhero turned private investigator, who finds herself launched back into action thanks to David Tennant‘s Kilgrave. He has the power of mind control which seems to involve making people point guns at themselves. Meanwhile, the hardboiled voiceover and dialogue veer toward the hokey at times, but Ritter is nothing short of confident and commanding as Jones.
