“It’s my best film yet. It’s the most ambitious in terms of scope. It’s also my most accessible film as well,” Denis Villeneuve declared about "Sicario," before its premiere at the Cannes Film Festival. And after a solid reception on the Croisette, the movie is prepping to hit cinemas this fall and first trailer has arrived.
The terrific trio of Emily Blunt, Josh Brolin and Benicio Del Toro lead the movie about an FBI agent and two Delta Force rangers who cross from Tucson to Mexico to catch a drug lord. Of course, nothing is as easy as it seems. Here’s the official synopsis:
In the lawless border area stretching between the U.S. and Mexico, an idealistic FBI agent [Emily Blunt] is enlisted by an elite government task force official [Josh Brolin] to aid in the escalating war against drugs.
Led by an enigmatic consultant with a questionable past [Benicio Del Toro], the team sets out on a clandestine journey forcing Kate to question everything that she believes in order to survive.
"Sicario" opens on September 18th. Watch the trailer below and read our review.
