You might have forgotten how big a hit the out-of-nowhere magician/con artist flick "Now You See Me" was. Crossing $115 million domestically, the film earned $351 million worldwide. So a lot of people dug the concept, and Lionsgate believes it has enough juice to justify a sequel. But do audiences want it? We’ll find out this coming summer with the oddly named "Now You See Me 2" —the first trailer has arrived today.
Some of the old gang are back —Jesse Eisenberg, Mark Ruffalo, Woody Harrelson, Michael Caine and Dave Franco— alongside new recruits Lizzy Caplan and Daniel Radcliffe. The events of the movie pick up one year later, finding The Four Horsemen facing off against a new adversary and initiating an even bigger heist. Jon M. Chu ("G.I. Joe: Retaliation") performs the sleight of hand behind the camera this time around, and if you liked the light, loopy tone of the first movie, we presume this’ll fit the bill.
"Now You See Me 2" (you could’ve left off that subtitle guys) arrives on June 10, 2016.
