While we continue to (im)patiently wait for Nicolas Winding Refn‘s "The Neon Demon," the director is using the time before the release of his next feature film to dabble in some more advertising work. And his latest effort puts his distinct stamp on Hennessy X.O.

Scored by regular collaborator Cliff Martinez, the spot takes viewers on an odyssey through the cognac’s layered taste, with imagery that is uniquely Refn-esque. “We were given the keys to the kingdom. It was extremely brave of Hennessy to trust me with so much: For me this is a 90-second feature film," he told Nowness.
