While the film propelled Leonardo DiCaprio to his long awaited Best Actor Oscar, alongside awards for Best Director and Best Cinematography, Alejandro González Iñárritu‘s "The Revenant" didn’t sweep the ceremony like many expected ("Spotlight" wound up taking the top prize). There was also a minor backlash formed against the movie as well, which is business as usual during the awards season for top contenders, and now Honest Trailers has a go against the picture.

Taking the position that it’s "epic Oscar bait" (though I don’t think anyone would call a movie in which the lead wanders near death without much dialogue for nearly two hours an easy watch for voters), the clip details the lengths DiCaprio went for his performance, while claiming the making of the movie is more interesting than the movie itself.
