Has Ridley Scott been watching Michael Bay movies? We can’t remember the last time the veteran director delivered something this aesthetically slick and glossy, and it’s an interesting veneer to add to what sounds like a gritty as fuck crime pic. It’s in Russian, so you’ll have to wait until the English version drops to hear any dialogue, but first impressions? Holy haircuts, Javier Bardem‘s in particular. And Cameron Diaz looks to be shaking any and all preconceived notions about what her talents are in what looks like a very atypical role. In case you forgot, this one is penned by none other than Cormac McCarthy, and features a ridiculously stacked cast including Michael Fassbender, Brad Pitt, Penelope Cruz, Cameron Diaz, Dean Norris, Rosie Perez, John Leguizamo, Natalie Dormer and Goran Visnjic in the tale of a lawyer who slips into the drug trade and finds himself way over his head.
