Even though we’re kinda fatigued on the subject, “Too Big To Fail,” directed by Curtis Hanson and featuring a remarkable ensemble, has certainly grabbed our attention.
Starring William Hurt, Edward Asner, Billy Crudup, Paul Giamatti, Topher Grace, Matthew Modine, Cynthia Nixon, Bill Pullman, Tony Shalhoub and James Woods, the film is based on the book by Andrew Ross Sorkin. It focuses on the few dramatic weeks that marked the financial meltdown of 2008, and the players — big and small — who were involved. This longer trailer is certainly a meatier affair than the teaser we saw last week and even though it plays like a re-enactment of “Inside Job,” the performances and tone look ace.
