There are many pleasures surely waiting to be unwrapped in Paul Thomas Anderson‘s "Inherent Vice," but this year you can thank the cinematic Santa Claus for the inspired idea of letting loose Martin Short and Joaquin Phoenix in the same movie. And while the film isn’t going wide until January, you can get a little taste today.
Short recently stopped by "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" and brought with him a new clip from "Inherent Vice." The scene pits his cocaine addled dentist (inspired casting) against Joaquin Phoenix’s dopey PI, in the breezy, rambling movie that melds comedy, noir and much more all into one unique package all its own.
