You'll have a lot of options over the holidays at a theater near you, but making its way to cinemas in New York City and Los Angeles this weekend will be "The Impossible." Starting out its journey, and hoping to grab some attention alongside the other awards season players, it stars Ewan McGregor and Naomi Watts (who is getting buzz for her performance) and centers around the devastating 2004 tsunami that occured on Boxing Day. In this snippet from the longer, and genuinely astonishing sequence in the movie, we see the first hints of the impending wave and how quickly a quiet day at the pool turns into a nightmare. As we discussed earlier today, when we unveiled a stream of the main title theme to the film by composer Fernando Vasquez, the filmmakers had access to the real-life survivors for their input, and certainly honored them as they put the film together.
