As seen in the new trailer for the HBO drama, Guadagnino’s show follows the story of two American teens that are living on a military base in Italy. While there, they become friends and begin to deal with all of the typical drama that surrounds being a teenager, but with the added complication of having military parents and living in a country that is not your home.

Of course, Guadagnino is probably best known for his work in the Oscar-nominated feature, “Call Me By Your Name.” He’s also the filmmaker behind features such as “A Bigger Splash” and 2018’s “Suspiria.” Clearly, if you’re someone that likes the filmmaker’s work in “Call Me By Your Name,” you’ll likely be excited by the footage shown so far for “We Are Who We Are.”
