New ‘What We Do In The Shadows’ Season 2 Teasers Showcase Some Strange Marionette Performances

If you had to sum up the series (and film, for that matter), “What We Do in the Shadows,” in one word, it would likely be “strange.” And that’s definitely not an insult. It’s just strange that a series about a group of vampires living in the modern US would be as hilarious as this is. The various characters that are featured in the show are most definitely strange, particularly energy vampire Colin. And it’s strange that the new teasers for the vampire comedy don’t really show anything from Season 2, instead relying on some marionette performances to bring the laughs.

For those that haven’t seen the series, “What We Do in the Shadows” is the hit FX series based on Taika Waititi’s film of the same name, and it follows a group of vampires that have lived for hundreds of years and now reside in the United States. However, even though the undead featured in the show look the part, these aren’t your typical vampires, as they find themselves in a variety of hilarious situations and react in ways that you might not see Dracula react.

“What We Do in the Shadows” Season 2 premieres on FX on April 15. You can watch the teasers below.

Here’s the synopsis:

What We Do in the Shadows follows four vampires who’ve “lived” together for hundreds of years. In Season 2, the vampires will try to find their way in a world of human Super Bowl parties, internet trolls, an energy vampire who gets a promotion and becomes drunk on power and of course, all the ghosts, witches, necromancers, zombies and shadowy cloaked assassins who roam freely in the Tri-State area.
