'Yellowstone' Season 2 Trailer: Kevin Costner & His Power-Hungry Family Return In Taylor Sheridan's Drama Series

There are many people that dream of living out in the middle of nowhere, on hundreds of acres of land, surrounded by no one and enjoying the peace and quiet. But according to the Paramount Network series, “Yellowstone,” living in the country isn’t as quiet as you might be thinking. It’s actually pretty terrifying.

As seen in the new trailer for Season 2 of “Yellowstone,” star Kevin Costner returns as the patriarch of the Dutton clan, a wealthy family out in the titular frontier. However, Costner’s family isn’t the most idyllic to ever grace the area, as he and his children scheme and murder in order to keep power away from the other folks that encroach on their land.

The first season was a hit for the fledgling Paramount Network. Thanks to the star power of Costner, and the credibility of writer-director Taylor Sheridan, “Yellowstone” was an easy choice for fans of quality drama with a dash of Westerns. That description might be the same for most of Sheridan’s projects, and it holds true for this new melodrama. Hey, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it, right?

Joining Costner in the series’ cast are Luke Grimes, Kelly Reilly, Wes Bentley, Cole Hauser, Kelsey Asbille, Brecken Merrill, Jefferson White, and Gil Birmingham.

“Yellowstone” returns to the Paramount Network on June 19.

Here’s the synopsis:

Yellowstone, Paramount Network’s epic scripted dramatic series, stars Costner as John Dutton, who controls the largest contiguous ranch in the United States. Amid shifting alliances, unsolved murders, open wounds, and hard-earned respect – the ranch is in constant conflict with those it borders – an expanding town, an Indian reservation, and America’s first national park.
