Zazie Beetz Hasn’t Talked To Marvel About More Domino Appearances But Would “Love” To Do A Solo Film

If you’re a fan of Marvel Comics, and specifically, the ‘X-Men’ family of books, you probably are well aware of the character Domino. And if you’re a fan of “Deadpool 2,” you know that Zazie Beetz portrayed the character in the film. But with the whole Fox ‘X-Men’ film universe seemingly being rebooted as the characters integrate with the current MCU, it’s unclear if Beetz’s version of Domino has a home at Marvel Studios. And according to the actress, she’s not even sure what the plan is.

Speaking to Collider (interview below), Beetz explained how she has yet to speak with Kevin Feige and the folks at Marvel Studios about more adventures as the luck-powered superhero, Domino. But that’s a discussion she’s really hoping will eventually happen.

“No, I haven’t,” she explained. “I would love to revive the role. I know that was always [the plan] in the world where that was potentially going to happen. But I haven’t had any specific conversations around it.”

Beetz added, “Not only would I love to revive the role, I’d love to figure out a way to make a ‘Domino’ movie or something like that. We’ll see what happens, but I haven’t had any personal conversations.”

If you’ve followed the “Deadpool”/Fox Marvel universe before it was sold to Disney a few years ago, you know that the original plan that Beetz alluded to comprised of an ‘X-Force’ film that would see Domino, Josh Brolin’s Cable, Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool, and other characters team up to form their own version of the X-Men. But when Fox was bought out by Disney, those plans seemingly went bye-bye. But, with Reynolds returning as Deadpool in a future film, as confirmed by Marvel Studios, you have to wonder if the plan is to include any of the other characters from that franchise?

Let’s be honest, Beetz is one of the best actresses working today and she was great as Domino in “Deadpool 2.” So, if the character does have a future in the MCU, you have to hope Feige and Co. will allow the actress to return. But as she said, we’ll just have to wait and see.

In the meantime, you can hear Beetz provided her vocal talents to the new Amazon Prime Video superhero series, “Invincible,” which debuts today.
