Just over three years ago, Jezebel published I Rewatched “Love Actually” and Am Here to Ruin It for All of You, and it was glorious. It takes apart, piece by piece, the beloved romantic comedy, and hilariously reveals it to be a misogynistic, ridiculous, poorly made, and very popular movie. However, those stung with nostalgia for the film will politely ignore all those details, especially with the “Love Actually” sequel on the way.
Hugh Grant, Martine McCutcheon, Keira Knightley, Andrew Lincoln, Colin Firth, Lucia Moniz, Liam Neeson, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Olivia Olson, Bill Nighy, Marcus Brigstocke, and Rowan Atkinson return for the brief follow-up, which will air during the U.S. broadcast of the Red Nose Day special (it had already aired during the UK event March, and you probably don’t have to look too hard online to find it). But yes, nearly everyone is back, and love is still in the air.
The “Love Actually” sequel sketch will arrive on on May 25th on NBC.
