How far will one man go to win it all? “F1” tells the story of an older driver battling the sport’s top talent. The movie may highlight a fictional team, APXGP, but it was filmed during actual Grand Prix weekends. This Apple Original Films project also lists celebrated driver Lewis Hamilton as a producer. Formula 1 is on board to promote the project, offering drivers a sneak peek of the trailer and showcasing a behind-the-scenes featurette on the official site.

“F1” hails from the team of Joseph Kosinski, Jerry Bruckheimer, and Ehren Kruger. The trio behind 2022’s blockbuster “Top Gun: Maverick” assumes similar duties on this anticipated project. Kosinski directs from a screenplay by Kruger. Bruckheimer adds another producing credit to his legendary career.
The upcoming film brings together several stars for its action-packed racing drama. Brad Pitt stars as an older driver pulled back into the sport. The actor additionally serves as one of the project’s producers. Damson Idris portrays an APXGP teammate. Kerry Condon, Tobias Menzies, Kim Bodnia, and Javier Bardem also star in the project. Condon drew raves for her performance in “The Banshees of Inisherin” and recently appeared on the Disney+ series “Skeleton Crew.”

Starring Brad Pitt as a former driver who returns to Formula 1®, alongside Damson Idris as his teammate at APXGP, a fictional team on the grid, “F1” has been shot during actual Grand Prix weekends as the team competes against the titans of the sport. Hailing from director Joseph Kosinski, Jerry Bruckheimer Films, Plan B Entertainment and seven-time F1® world champion Lewis Hamilton’s Dawn Apollo Films banner, the film is made in collaboration with Formula 1® and the F1® community, including the 10 F1® teams and their drivers, the FIA and race promoters.
