Sacha Baron Cohen’s Ridiculously Long ‘Borat 2’ Title Reportedly Revealed

Earlier this month, it was reported that Sacha Baron Cohen made a sequel to “Borat” completely in secret and was already screening it to people. Well, it seems we may finally know what to call “Borat 2,” and it’s as ridiculously long a title as you’d expect.

As The Film Stage points out, a Writers Guild of America filing lists the title for the film as “Borat: Gift of Pornographic Monkey to Vice Premiere Mikhael Pence to Make Benefit Recently Diminished Nation of Kazakhstan” which was immediately deemed just the right length to mess up with every entertainment news outlet’s SEO. The title is also a perfect companion to the original’s title, “Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan.”

Cohen is credited with writing the screenplay alongside Anthony Hines, Dan Swimer, Peter Baynham, Erica Rivinoja, Dan Mazer, Jena Friedman, and Lee Kern. Though plot details remain vague, Collider reports that the film is being described as “Cohen playing Borat playing Cohen.” According to that report, Borat’s popularity has skyrocketed since the events of the previous film, or so Borat thinks, so he must hide from the public by putting on a disguise while conducting interviews with people. The title of the film also strongly hints that Vice President Mike Pence will be the target of much of the film’s humor.

This tracks with recent reports of Sacha Baron Cohen dressing up in a disguise and infiltrating several political events recently, including leading a group of people in Washington in a white supremacist song. While we initially thought this could be “Who is America?” season 2, it may have been teases for the upcoming “Borat 2” (we can’t possibly repeat the actual title every time, can we?
