The 30th Annual ADG Awards nominations were announced this morning, and The Art Directors Guild (ADG) and IATSE Local 800 (ADG 800) members crafted few surprises. Across three film categories, expected contenders for the Production Design Academy Award made the cut, including “Frankenstein,” “Wicked for Good,” “Hamnet,” “Sinners,” and “Marty Supreme.” Television nominees saw “Andor,” “It: Welcome to Derry,” “Alien: Earth,” “Wednesday,” “The Gilded Age,” “Pluribus,” “Stranger Things,” “Adolescence,” “Wicked: One Wonderful Night,” and “The Studio” recognized over seven categories.

While few major television projects were snubbed, it was somewhat surprising that the guild completely ignored any of the celebrated work in NEON’s “The Secret Agent,” “Sentimental Value,” “Sirat,” or “No Other Choice.” Let alone the incredible work achieved on Bi Gan’s “Resurrection.”
Uniquely, not only are two “Wicked” projects up for nomination, but so are two Lady Gaga creations. The pop superstar’s hosting on “Saturday Night Live,” which featured two live musical performances, and her music video for “Abracadabra” were nominated. Gaga will go up against music videos from Taylor Swift (“The Fate of Ophelia”) and Sabrina Carpenter (“Tears”) in the Short Format and Music Videos category.
The ADG Awards will take place on February 28, 2026, at the InterContinental Los Angeles.
