Well, “Ted Lasso” fans, the wait is over: the beloved Apple TV+ series returns for Season 3 this spring. But that’s not the only show premiering on the streamer in the next few months. “The Afterparty” and “Schmigadoon!” soon return for their respective second seasons. And on top of that, a new series premieres: “The Last Thing He Told Me” with Jennifer Garner and Angourie Rice.

Here’s a breakdown of the first-looks at Apple TV+’s Spring release schedule:
First up, “Ted Lasso,” finally returns for its highly anticipated third season. So what does the future of AFC Richmond hold? With any luck, a third straight Emmy win for Outstanding Comedy Series. Apple TV+ doesn’t have a spicy new synopsis for S3 yet, but Jason Sudeikis returns as the titular optimistic American football coach. Plenty of series regulars also return for the new season, including Hannah Waddingham, Brendan Hunt, Jeremy Swift, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Phil Dunster, Nick Mohammed, and Sarah Niles. Any newcomers for S3? Jodi Balfour joins the cast as a venture capitalist. Expect “Ted Lasso” Season 3 to be the spring’s hottest premiere, with an official release date soon. Next, “The Afterparty” Season 2. The acclaimed mystery comedy series returns on Friday, April 28 with two new episodes. After that, new episodes premiere every Friday through the season finale on June 23. Chris Miller and Phil Lord helm the series again for a new murder to be solved, this time at a wedding where every guest is a suspect. Tiffany Haddish returns to star as Detective Danner, along with Season 1 cast members Sam Richardson and Zoë Chao. But “The Afterparty” S2 introduces new genres and cast members into its murder mystery playbook. Elizabeth Perkins, Zach Woods, Paul Walter Hauser, Poppy Liu, Anna Konkle, Jack Whitehall, Vivian Wu, John Cho, and Ken Jeong are all members of the new list of suspects. “Schmigadoon!” also returns for its second season on Apple TV+ this April. And the new set of episodes pick up where Season 1 left off, with Keegan-Michael Key‘s Josh and Cecily Strong‘s Melissa having found true love in the titular town, which is a reimagined world of ’60s and ’70s musical. Other S1 cast members returning to “Schmigadoon!” include Ariana DeBose, Martin Short, Dove Cameron, Jaime Camil, Kristin Chenoweth, Alan Cumming, Ann Harada, Jane Krakowski, and Aaron Tveit. Newcomers this season include Tituss Burgess and Patrick Page. Series co-creator Cinco Paul has plenty of new original songs for “Schmigadoon!” S2, too. Finally, “The Last Thing He Told Me” premieres this April on Apple TV+. Based on Laura Dave‘s bestselling novel, Jennifer Garner stars in the seven-part series as Hannah, a woman who must forge a relationship with her sixteen-year-old stepdaughter (Angourie Rice) in order to find out why her husband has mysteriously disappeared. The show also stars Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Aisha Tyler, Augusto Aguilera, Geoff Stults, and John Harlan Kim. “The Last Thing He Told Me” marks the first collaboration between married couple Dave and Josh Singer, whose executive producer credits include “The Post” and “Spotlight.” Also of note: “Where The Crawdads Sing” director Olivia Newman helms the show’s pilot episode. “The Last Thing He Told Me” premieres on Friday, April 14 with two episodes, followed by new episodes every Friday through May 19. So, a stacked Spring calendar for Apple TV+. The streamer is fast becoming one of the must-have subscriptions in a saturated market.
