'Bad Trip' Red Band Trailer: Tiffany Haddish, Eric Andre & Lil Rel Howery Team A 'Jackass' Producer For New Prank Film

It’s been almost six years since the folks behind “Jackass” released their last film in the franchise, titled “Bad Grandpa.” Mixing scripted narrative and real-life pranks, the film would go on to earn $151 million worldwide, on a budget that is just 10% of that. The entire four-film “Jackass” franchise has earned an astonishing $487 million worldwide. So, you know it was only a matter of time before the gang got back together for a new film. Except, in the case of “Bad Trip,” the “Jackass” people hired real comedians to prank poor innocent bystanders.

As seen in the first trailer for “Bad Trip,” this film actually does have a narrative that connects all the insane pranks. The film follows the story of two best friends that go on a road trip across the country. Along the way, they come across the sister of one of the men, who has just escaped from prison. And through all of this, real people are involved in real pranks that include stealing cop cars, dangling from rooftops, and car crashes ending in explosions.

And leading the way are actors/comedians Lil Rel Howery, Tiffany Haddish, and Eric Andre. The first two have been making a name for themselves on the big screen with breakout roles in films like “Get Out” and “Girls Trip,” respectively. Andre, on the other hand, hasn’t had the massive breakout success yet, but has built a cult-like, rabid fanbase that loves everything he does, which sometimes includes worshipping Ranch dressing and subjecting celebrities to the most awkward interviews ever.

“Bad Trip” hits theaters on October 25. If you’re a fan of the “Jackass” films, or these three comedians, specifically, then you’re likely going to want to check this out.

Here’s the synopsis:

From a producer of JACKASS and BAD GRANDPA, this hidden camera comedy follows two best friends go on a cross-country road trip full of hilarious, inventive pranks, pulling its real-life audience into the mayhem.
